Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions govern the booking and provision of coach hire services by Go ABE, a trading name operating under the ABE Group. By making a booking with us, you agree to and accept these terms.
When you place your booking, you will be given the opportunity to view our Privacy Policy, which can also be found at www.goabe.co.uk/privacy.
About Go ABE
Go ABE is a professional coach hire company operating across London and the South East of England. We are part of the ABE Group family, providing premium coach hire services for corporate events, airport transfers, school trips, weddings, sports events, and private hire. We operate our own modern fleet of Mercedes Tourismo coaches with professional, DBS-checked drivers.
Making a Booking
- You can request a quote through our website by completing the online quote form, or by contacting us directly via phone or email.
- All quotes are subject to availability and are valid for 7 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
- A booking is only confirmed once we have received your acceptance of the quote and any required deposit payment.
- We will send you a written booking confirmation via email, which will include full details of your hire including date, time, pick-up/drop-off locations, vehicle type, and total cost.
- You are responsible for ensuring that all booking details are correct. Please check your confirmation carefully and notify us immediately of any errors or required changes.
- All prices quoted are in UK pounds (GBP) and include Value Added Tax at the current rate unless otherwise stated.
- We reserve the right to adjust prices in the event of significant increases in fuel costs, road tolls, parking charges, or other operational costs beyond our control.
Payment Terms
- A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total hire cost is required to secure your booking.
- The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than 14 days before the date of hire.
- For bookings made within 14 days of the hire date, full payment is required at the time of booking.
- We accept payment by bank transfer, credit card, or debit card. Payment details will be provided in your booking confirmation.
- Failure to pay the balance by the due date may result in cancellation of your booking and forfeiture of your deposit.
- Additional charges may apply for waiting time, parking fees, road tolls, or other expenses incurred during the hire that were not included in the original quote.
Cancellations and Amendments
Cancellations by You:
- Cancellations must be made in writing via email to info@goabe.co.uk
- More than 28 days before hire date: Full refund minus 25% deposit
- 14-28 days before hire date: 50% refund of total cost
- 7-14 days before hire date: 25% refund of total cost
- Less than 7 days before hire date: No refund
Amendments to Your Booking:
- We will do our best to accommodate changes to your booking, subject to availability.
- Changes requested more than 14 days before the hire date will be accommodated free of charge where possible.
- Changes requested within 14 days of the hire date may incur an administration fee of £50.
- Significant changes (e.g., date, route, or vehicle type) may be treated as a cancellation and rebooking.
Cancellations by Us:
We reserve the right to cancel your booking in exceptional circumstances, including but not limited to vehicle breakdown, driver illness, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. In such cases, we will endeavor to provide a suitable replacement vehicle. If this is not possible, we will provide a full refund of all payments made. Our liability is limited to the refund of payments made and we are not responsible for any consequential losses.
Your Responsibilities
- You must provide accurate information regarding passenger numbers, pick-up/drop-off locations, and any special requirements at the time of booking.
- You must ensure all passengers behave in a responsible manner and comply with the driver's reasonable instructions.
- Smoking, vaping, and consumption of alcohol are strictly prohibited on all our vehicles unless expressly agreed in writing.
- You are responsible for any damage caused to the vehicle by you or your passengers, and repair costs will be charged accordingly.
- You must ensure that all passengers are ready at the agreed pick-up time. We reserve the right to charge waiting time fees of £50 per hour (or part thereof) for delays beyond 15 minutes.
- You must inform us in advance of any special requirements, including wheelchair access, child seats, or luggage requirements.
- The hirer is responsible for ensuring that the number of passengers does not exceed the vehicle's legal capacity.
Our Responsibilities and Service Standards
- We will provide a clean, well-maintained vehicle suitable for your requirements as specified in the booking confirmation.
- We will provide a professional, DBS-checked driver who holds all necessary licenses and qualifications.
- We will arrive at the pick-up location at the agreed time. In the event of unforeseen delays, we will notify you as soon as possible.
- All our vehicles are fully insured and comply with current UK road safety regulations.
- We reserve the right to substitute a vehicle of equivalent or higher specification if the original vehicle becomes unavailable due to breakdown or other unforeseen circumstances.
Liability and Insurance
- We carry full public liability insurance and our vehicles are comprehensively insured in accordance with UK law.
- We are not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to traffic congestion, road closures, accidents, extreme weather conditions, or industrial action.
- We are not responsible for personal belongings left on our vehicles. Passengers are advised to check they have all their belongings before leaving the vehicle.
- Our liability for any loss or damage is limited to the total cost of the hire, except in cases of death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
- We strongly recommend that you arrange appropriate travel insurance to cover your journey.
- We reserve the right to refuse carriage to any passenger who appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or whose behavior may pose a risk to the safety or comfort of other passengers or the driver.
Data Protection and Privacy
We are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. We will only use your personal information for the purposes of processing your booking and providing our services. Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for any failure to perform our obligations under these terms if such failure is caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, civil unrest, industrial disputes, fire, flood, pandemic, or government restrictions. In such circumstances, we will endeavor to provide alternative arrangements or a full refund.
General Terms
Governing Law:
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or your booking will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Entire Agreement:
These terms and conditions, together with your booking confirmation, constitute the entire agreement between you and Go ABE and supersede any previous agreements or understandings.
Severability:
If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of law, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
Waiver:
Our failure to enforce any provision of these terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision or our right to enforce it in the future.
Changes to Terms:
We reserve the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website and will apply to bookings made after the date of the update.
